• Account information — when you sign up with Google or email/password, we receive your name, email address, and (for Google sign-in) basic profile details through Firebase Authentication.
• Content you create — the prompts you submit, your chat history with AI agents, and the project files and code generated in your workspace.
• Usage data — how you interact with the service, such as features used, quota consumption, and approximate device and browser information.
• Cookies and similar technologies — see the Cookies section below.

We use your information to:

• provide, operate, and improve the service;
• process your prompts and project context through AI models to generate code and responses;
• authenticate you, secure your account, and enforce plan limits and quotas;
• respond to support requests and communicate service updates;
• comply with legal obligations.

To generate code and responses, your prompts and relevant project context are sent to third-party AI models, including Google Gemini. This processing is a core part of how engineX works. We do not use your private project content to train our own models; third-party providers' handling of data is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to make the site function, and — with your consent via our cookie banner — analytics cookies from [ANALYTICS PROVIDER — verify] to understand how the site is used. You can withdraw consent at any time through your browser settings or the cookie banner.

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with service providers that help us run engineX:

• Google — Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud for sign-in, hosting, and data storage; Google Gemini for AI generation;
• StackBlitz WebContainer — the in-browser runtime that executes your project locally in your browser;
• Payment processor — when paid plans launch, billing details will be handled by our payment processor; we do not store full payment card details;
• Legal requirements — we may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights and users.

We retain your account information, projects, and chat history for as long as your account is active so that you can return to your work. If you delete your account or request deletion at team.enginex@gmail.com , we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including authentication through Firebase, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access controls on our infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — please use a strong, unique password and keep your credentials safe.

Subject to applicable law — including the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of Ghana — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, object to certain processing, and request a copy of your data. engineX is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal data, contact us at team.enginex@gmail.com and we will delete it.

Material changes will be announced through the service or by email before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Your continued use of engineX after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
